After the successful launch of the 9-3 Cabrio and sedan, Saab is gearing up for yet another addition to the lineup in the form of a sport wagon. A concept version of this upcoming addition was unveiled at this year's Frankfurt International Motor Show. With a shape inspired by the earlier Saab 9-3X concept, Saab further refined the idea into the 9-3 Sport-Hatch concept. Intended to blur the lines between traditional wagons and hatchbacks, the Sport-Hatch is less radical than the 9-3X, but no less appealing thanks to its swoopy exterior shape and more useful configuration.

2006-2009 9-3 Aero, Unique Styling, Drive one and you'll buy one.
Pros: Fairly affordable Cons: Some rattles inside Bottom Line: Love my Aero wagon!
Pros: Very fast, awesome transmission. Excellent service. Cons: Front end on sport Aero model about 4 inches from ground - hits everything. Bottom Line: An affordable, sporting and appealing alternative "sport sedan"
Pros: Classy styling, better quality, good compromise between performance and convenience, turbo power, good MPG. Cons: Styling too conservative for some, some turbo lag, maintenance can get pricey after warranty. Bottom Line: 9-3 SportCombi 2.0 is Best All Around Vehicle in its Class
Pros: comfort, performance, carrying space, apparent safety, efficiency, great A/C and heater, gorgeous Cons: 4-cyl. not available in Aero, road noise, quality glitches, nav system limited and confusing Bottom Line: Great alternative!
Pros: Fresh, sporty look. Great handling and engine! Superb seats, interior geometry/layout and sound system! Cons: Interior quality is not among the best! Bridge stones makes for a bumpy ride! Bottom Line: a very fast car
Pros: Mid-speed (30-70) punch like a bat out of Hell. Seats.Style. Cons: a few rattles and squeeks. Not as solid as my Jag. Bottom Line: 2006 Saab 9-3 is the best all-around car at an affordable price!
Pros: Affordable luxury, fun to drive, highest safety ratings, very reliable...I LOVE my 2006 Saab 9-3! Cons: Saab dealers are few and far between. It makes scheduled maintenance covered under warranty difficult. Bottom Line: 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero - Very Satisfied
Pros: It Rockets-intuitive controls-kickin sound Sporty-handles like a bmw Stops on a dime Cons: Next button inconsistent (radio) Performance tuning not good on bumpy roads Bumper brushes parking stops Bottom Line: 2006 2.0T SportCombi with manual trans
Pros: Feels and handles great, power, good mileage, yet to see another SportCombi on the road. Cons: Complicated radio controls - Standard seats are comfortable but sport seats should be an option. Best bang for the buck
Pros: styling, interior comfort, trunk size, cabin room, mileage Cons: stereo funkyness and idiosyncrasies of trip computer, gets me tickets |
