Wu-Tang Clan: Prince Rakeem "The RZA" (rap vocals, programming); The Method Man, U-God, Rebel Ins, Shallah Raekwon, Ghost Face Killer, Ol' Dirty Bastard, The Genius "The GZA," Masta Killa (rap vocals). Additional personnel: The 4th Disciple (scratches). Recorded at Firehouse Studio, New York. I hope I don't sound like that when I'm old and dirty
Pros: Mostly strong voices, killer production job. The kung fu angle. Obviously ahead of their time. Cons: ODB gives me the creeps. When the music goes down, so does the whole program. Bottom Line: #5: Witty Unpredictable Talent And Natural Game
Pros: RZA's minimal, but effective production. The raw rhyming skillz from everyone. Cons: Gets you pissed at the New York rappers today who have long stopped bringing it. Bottom Line: Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers): Fuck clever titles: Best. Album. Ever.
Pros: One of, if not, THE greatest album in hip-hop history Cons: One questionable final remix prevents it from being completely flawless; Protect Ya Neck is edited Bottom Line: The Wu "Break Da Ruckus" in true Shaolin Style. (IGTMIM W/O)
Pros: Killer lyrics. Astounding, groundbreaking beats. Not a weak track. Changed the game. Cons: excuse me? Bottom Line: Up From the 36 Chambers of Death
Pros: Everything from the Rza's production to the Wu's complex lyricism Cons: Look at the Wu-tang now Bottom Line: The Definitive Hip-Hop Classic. (HHAW4 W/O)
Pros: Lyrics, subject matter, production, chemistry, freakin' everything Cons: Comparing this to everything the Wu has done since. Bottom Line: 36 Chambers: The Wus Method is perfected, read my review as I dissect it.
Pros: Rzas tight production, hard lyrics, one of the best rap groups Cons: One remix and um, let me see .nah, cant think of anything else Bottom Line: Tiggggaaaaaaarrr styllleeee-The "Killer Bees" take over the world!
Pros: Dark, underground, gritty production. Nine hungry, 'Old Skool', retrospective emcees. The timing! Cons: Say What!? Bottom Line: Wu-Tang Clan: Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) A Rap Revolution from Shaolin Island
Pros: Groundbreaking work. Sharp production. Killer vocals. The Wu in its prime. Cons: Nothing. Bottom Line: #1 Enter The Wu Tang..the start of a legendary clan
Pros: Almost all tracks are 5 stars, lyricism, beats, songs, f*ck it EVERYTHING Cons: nah... Bottom Line: |
