One of us was lying when he said I don't have a gun

Author's Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Mammoth sound, cutting voice, strong melodic hooks. Appealing in its simplicity. Different for its time.

Cons: The second half sounds tired in places. I hear no mysticism in Kurt's lyrics.

Bottom Line:
I'm not about to hail it as the punk album of my generation, but it did deconstruct hard rock music as we knew it then. Read More

YET another review of "Nevermind": Ten years after his death, it's still not yet stale

Author's Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Awesome, almost flawless rock music. Great poetry. No filler. Plenty of hits. Memorable riffs.

Cons: Despite all the praise I gave it, the media attention is still WAY too much.

Bottom Line:
This is a must own CD for all rock fans. It's got the hooks, the lyrics, and has pretty much made history as the definition of alternative rock. Read More
