Pros: Adam Duritz's pure emotion, and honesty.
Cons: The success of this record tainted Adam's innocence.
Bottom Line: Undeniable emotions, songwriting ability, and beauty make this album... Well, let's just say this is one of the most vital records of the last twenty years.

Pros: Beautiful imagery, heartfelt vocals and lyrics, Adam's hurt gets in your head
Cons: The follow-up CDs
Bottom Line: Brooding, melodic, touching, somber, hopeful, and original.
Definitely one from the heart. And great pop to boot.

Pros: Poignant and beautiful. Every song is amazing, lyrically and musically.
Cons: Depressing. Not to be taken in combination with sedatives.
Bottom Line: The lyrics literally are poetry. Duritz is a depressed music/song writing genius. He and his band compose some beautiful melodies. Top 10 of the 1990's.
