Pros: the best way to experience Narnia for the first time
Cons: some religious overtones
Bottom Line: Although not my favorite Narnia book, this is still one of the finest children's fantasy books ever written. Read it, no matter your age.

Pros: Simply the best-written and most-important children's books ever written.
Cons: ________________________
Bottom Line: If you're a child, you must read Narnia. If you're an adult, you must read Narnia. If you're an adult with plenty of Inner Child, you know what to do.

Pros: prepare to be captured head, heart, and soul by four children and a Lion
Cons: it isn’t too simple for you sophisticated folks, is it?
Bottom Line: Open the wardrobe door, put on a coat, and be transported to a land of walking trees, talking beasts, and the Great Lion Aslan himself!

Pros: Beautiful simplicity of prose and images; story speaks to multiple ages and across generations
Cons: Only that I haven't yet found an actual door into Narnia...
Bottom Line: "And now," said Aslan presently, "to business. I feel I am going to roar. You had better put your fingers in your ears."
