Sometimes you know exactly what to expect. Other times, life throws you a curveball. Thankfully, there's the CR-V. Because whether you're driving to the grocery store after work or taking a surprise weekend getaway, the CR-V is versatile enough to help. Have a seat inside and you'll marvel at how much room there is for gear, supplies or friends. Front side and side curtain airbags are standard on all models. Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) controls brake pressure and engine power to help maintain traction. The new 2005 CR-V features 16-inch wheels and revamped styling, both inside and out. And if you're looking for a new level of refinement, be sure to check out the 4WD Special Edition CR-V with Leather. Minimize

Great car for families! Great price!

Author's Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Drives smooth and has had no mechanical problems.

Cons: No third row.

The Bottom Line:
Great purchase for the price! Nice, smooth ride and roomy enough for a family of four.

We have two children and really wanted an SUV/wagon for getting around with the kids, their car seats and all their stuff they take with them. We originally looked at the Pilot, which we loved. Yet, we were upside down in our Trailblazer that we owned prior to the purchase of the CR-V. The payments including what we owed on the Trailblazer pushed the Pilot way out of our budget. We reluctantly went down a size to the CR-V. It has turned out to be a great decision. We leased it in order to make sure by the time we got our next car, we would be free from the payments on the Trailblazer.

Well, the CR-V drives beautifully. It has a smooth ride and great traction in the Colorado snow. We have had no problems with the CR-V mechanically or in any other way. The gas mileage is pretty average but decent considering it is an SUV.

Our lease is up in a year and we will definitely buy/lease another Honda. We will be having a third child in the next few months and will need a car that has a third row, which is missing in the CR-V. So, we will most likely look a the Pilot again. However, if we were still only with three children, I would definitely consider giving the CR-V a second try!
