Pros: compact
Cons: software stinks
The Bottom Line:
Stay away,It is not a user friendly product. I don't understand why JVC would include software that clearly doesn't work well with the camera.

I bought my JVC gz-mg130u on vacation while in las vegas. I was looking for a camera that I could capture the moments in a once in a lifetime trip with my family. Aso Looked for a camera that would have ease of use for me and my wife. while at Samsclub camera dept the salesperson made the JVC sound great.I thought I found the perfect video camera, little did I know my problems were just starting. I took video of Las vegas, The grand canyon, Hover dam and many other sites to show the family when I got home. When we got back home I installed the software for the camera to transfer the video to my computer. After installing it I found it wouldn't work because it wasn't compatible with my operating system (Vista), I called support and was told I would have to purchase additional software for it to work at an additional cost of $40.00 ( no discount ) After installing the new software it still didn't work. I called support again to tell them it still didn't work and they walked me through it , and it still wouldn't work. They then said I must be doing some thing wrong. I told them I would try again myself and call them back. After calling them for the I don't remember how many times trying to work out the problem. I again called support this time I was told not to use the cyberlink softaware that came with the camera but to use Microsoft's movie maker that was supplyed with vista, I installed this while I had support on the phone. After installing it I still couldn't look at the video now installed on my computer, support said I should call Microsoft there must be a problem with there software, I told him thats why I called you to begin with because your software and the upgrade that I purchased didn't work either, I was told again to call Microsoft and then he said thank you for calling ( bye),to this day I still can't view the video other then on the camera and it has been 6 months now. Bad investment never again a JVC product
